- Automobile Engineer in Motor Vehicles Maintenance Department 2013-2014 in Tamil Nadu General Service - 1 Post for MBC / DNC Quota - Basic Pay 15600 Grade Pay 5400 in Pay Band III category - Age 32 years for UR ; No Age Limit for all others, including Destitute Widow of all castes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Automobile Engineering (BE / BTech / BSc / AMIE)
- OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE / BTech / BSc / AMIE)
- OR
- Post Diploma in Automobile Engineering
- OR
- Licentiate
- OR
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)
- OR
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering (DAME)
- AND
- Five years experience in administration of an office and in the management of workshops. (A workshop shall mean any workshop under the control of the Government / Public / Private Organisation and Registered under the Factories Act 1948(Central Act LXIII of 1948))
- Automobile Engineer in Police Transport Workshop-cum-Training School Avadi Chennai and Regional Police Transport Workshop Trichy Tamil Nadu 2014-2015 in Tamil Nadu General Service - 2 Posts (1 UR ; 1 SCA Destitute Widow) - Basic Pay 15600 Grade Pay 5400 in Pay Band III category - Age 32 years for UR ; No Age Limit for all others, including Destitute Widow of all castes.

Allocation of Vacancy (Roster System) :

- Single examination contains two papers, viz Paper 1 core subject area , Paper 2 General Studies.
- There is no negative marks.
- Paper I : Total 200 MCQs in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Subject - 300 Marks (1.5 marks for each question) time duration 3 hours
- Paper II : Total 100 MCQs in GS, Aptitude, MAT - 200 Marks (2 marks for each question) time duration 2 hours
- Degree Standard : General Studies 75 MCQs
- SSLC Standard : Aptitude and Mental Ability Test 25 MCQs
- Personal Interview / Oral Test : 70 Marks
