Age limit details for BARC Recruitment :
Minimum age limit is 18 years completed.
Maximum age limit is as follows :
27 years for UR candidates.
30 years for OBC candidates.
32 years for SC / ST candidates
Additional 10 years relaxations are applicable with the above roster system for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category candidates as per government rules.

- Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of the state of J&K during the period from the 1st day of January 1980 to 31st day of December, 1989 provided that the relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any examination shall be subject to the maximum number of chances permissible under the relevant rules.
- Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be admissible to children/family members of those who died in the 1984 riots.
Selection Process of BARC UDC/ JPA/ JSK Recruitment :
There is two written examinations.
First one is Tier I exam with MCQs.
Second one is Tier II exam with Descriptive type.
Questions will be in English and Hindi only.
Tier I exam details :
Total Time 2 hours (40 minutes extra will be given for Visually Impaired candidates)
Total 200 questions.
Total 200 marks.
- 50 MCQs in General English Knowledge
- 50 MCQs in General Studies
- 50 MCQs in General Intelligence and Reasoning
- 50 MCQs in Quantitative Aptitude (Arithmetic)
Tier II exam details :
Total Time 3 hours (1 hour extra will be given for Visually Impaired candidates)
Total 100 Marks
- English Language and Comprehension
