• Assistant Librarian for Government Oriental Manuscripts Library and Research Centre in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service - 1 Post for UR Quota - Basic Pay 35400 plus allowances in Tamil State State Pay Matrix Level 11 (Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 4200) - UGC approved MA or BA (Hons) in Sanskrit
• Junior Epigraphist for Archaeology Department in Tamil Nadu General Subordinate Service - 1 Post for SC Arunthathiyar Women PSTM Quota - Basic Pay 35400 plus allowances in Tamil State State Pay Matrix Level 11 (Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 4200) - UGC approved BA Tamil or B.Litt (Tamil)

Age limit details :

• Minimum age limit is 18 years should have completed.
• There is no maximum age limit for SC / SCA / ST / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC candidates and Destitute Widow of all communities.
• Maximum age limit for UR candidates is 30 years.
• UR candidates, who-ever working more than 5 years in government sector (state / central / psu) are not eligible to apply, even though they are in with-in the age limit.

Examination Details :

Two papers in MCQ type of examination.

Paper I : Sanskrit (UG Degree) / Tamil Language / Tamil Literature (UG Degree) - 200 MCQs - 300 marks - 3 hours exam.

Paper II :  General Studies (Degree Std Level) 75 MCQs ; Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (10th Std Level) 25 MCQs

Interview / Oral Test - 70 marks.

There is no negative marking system.

Examination Centres : Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore.
