TNPSC Archaeology Department Librarian Posts Exam 2018 :

• Librarian (Archaeology Department) in Tamil Nadu General Subordinate Service - 1 Post for UR Women Quota  - Basic Pay 18500 plus allowances in Tamil State State Pay Matrix Level 6 (Basic Pay 5200 Grade Pay 2000 in Pay Band I category) - CLIS

Educational Qualifications required for TNPSC Exam Post :

• Certificate Course in Library Science / Library and Information Science

Experience required :

• NIL

Age limit details :

• Minimum age limit is 18 years should have completed.
• UR candidates : 30 years age limit 
• BC / BCM / MBC / DNC candidates : 32 years age limit 
• SC / SCA / ST / Destitute Widow of all communities candidates : 35 years age limit 
• 12th Std Passed Qualification : There is no age limit for  SC / SCA / ST / BC / MBC / DNC candidates and Destitute Widow of all communities, who have passed Pre University Course or Pre Technical Course or 12th Std
• Additional 10 years age relaxations are applicable for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as per Government of India rules, in addition to the above communal roster systems.
• UR candidates, who have put in 5 years and more of service in the State / Central Government are not eligible to apply even if they are within the age limit
• 48 years for Ex-Service-man candidates.

Examination Details :

Method of selection via, Written Exam (single paper) and Viva-Voce Test.

I Paper : Library Science (Certificate Standard)
Total Time 3 hours
Total 200 MCQs - each questions will carry 1.5 marks
Total 300 marks.

II Paper : General Studies

Total Time 2 hours
Total 100 MCQs - each questions will carry 2 marks
Total 200 marks.
General Studies 75 MCQs (10th Std Level)
Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (10th Std Level) 25 MCQs

2. Current Events (History / Political Science / Geography / Economics / Science)
3. Geography
4. History and culture of India
5. Indian Polity
6. Indian economy

9. Logical Reasoning

Interview / Oral Test 70  marks.

There is no negative marking system.
