TNPSC Hostel Supdt Physical Training Officer Posts Recruitment 2018 :

• Hostel Superintendent cum Physical Training Officer  in Tamil Nadu Employment and Training Subordinate Service - 6 Posts  - Basic Pay 35400 plus allowances in Tamil State State Pay Matrix Level 11 (Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 4200 in Pay Band II category) - 12th Std Pass and Diploma in Physical Education
• 1 UR
• 1 UR PwD Visually Impaired (Low Vision / Blind)
• 1 BC Other than Muslims
• 1 MBC / DNC Women
• 1 MBC / DNC Ex-Serviceman
• 1 SC

Educational Qualifications required for TNPSC Physical Education Officer Exam Post :

• Must have been declared eligible for admission to the College course of Study under the old 11 year schooling or Must have been declared eligible for admission to the Higher Secondary Course under the present 10 year schooling. (G.O.(Ms).No.260, Employment Service Department, dated 17.12.1985).
• AND
• Diploma in Physical Education 
• OR
• Senior Grade Teacher's Certificate in Physical Education and  one year teaching experience

Experience required :

• One year teaching experience for the holders of Certificate in Physical Education. 
• There is no experience required for Diploma holders.

Age limit details for PTO Vacancy :

• Minimum age limit is 18 years should have completed.
• UR candidates : 35 years
• BC / BCM / MBC / DNC candidates : No Age Limit.
• SC / SCA / ST / Destitute Widow of all communities candidates : No Age Limit.
• Additional 10 years age relaxations are applicable for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as per Government of India rules, in addition to the above communal roster systems.
• UR candidates, who have put in 5 years and more of service in the State / Central Government are not eligible to apply even if they are within the age limit
• 48 years for Ex-Service-man candidates.

Examination Details :

Method of selection via, Written Exam and Viva-Voce Test.

Paper I : Core Paper (Physical Education Diploma Level) Total 200 MCQs each 1.5 marks ; Total 300 marks; 3 hours time duration ; 

• Aims and objectives of Physical Education.
• History-Origin-Development of Major Games Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Hockey, Cricket, Basket Ball and Kabadi. 
• Measurements-Rules-officiating coaching-Playing equipment about Foot Ball,Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Kabadi, Hockey, Cricket, Ball Badminton, Shuttle Badminton, Tennis, Kho-Kho, Carrom, Chess,Table Tennis and all the athletic events (Running, Jumping and throwing events) and Swimming.
• Human Anatomy and Physiology Study of Muscular System, Respriatory System, Digestive System, Urogenital system,Cardio Vascular system,Nervous system and sense organs (Nose, Tongue, Skin, Eyes and Ears). 
• Effects of exercise on the various systems of the body.(Includes Ordinary exercises,exercise with weights, and Gymnastic exercises). 
• Competition (Sports and Games) (Including Intramural, District Level, State Level, National and International level). Drawl of fixtures of different types of tournaments. 
• Yogic exercises and its benefits (Health related Yogic exercises). 
• First Aid, Physiotherapy and personal Health and Environments Hygiene. First Aid: Includes various types of First Aid method adopted during sports and games activities and also different types of Bandages Physiotherapy: Includes exercise therapy, water therapy,and Electrical therapy.
• Physical Education set up in India and Tamil Nadu. 10 General knowledge in Sports and Games (including Karate and Judo)

Paper II : General Studies 75 MCQs (12th Std Level) ; Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (10th Std Level) 25 MCQs   -- Total 100 MCQs each 2 marks ; Total 200 marks ; 2 hours time duration ;

Interview / Oral Test  70 marks.

There is no negative marking system.
