- Assistant Geologist in Department of Geology and Mining ; Tamil Nadu Geology and Mining Subordinate Service for the year of 2018-2019 - 10 Posts - Basic Pay 37700 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules Matrix 20 (Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 5100 plus allowances in Pay Band II category) - Age limit 30 years for UR candidates ; There is no age limit for BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates

- MSc Geology
- Desirable Qualifications :
- Priority will be given, those, who-ever having practical experience in geology field works
- Assistant Geochemist in Public Works Department (PWD) ; Tamil Nadu Engineering Subordinate Service for the year of 2012-2019 - 5 Posts - Basic Pay 37700 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Rules Matrix 20 (Basic Pay 9300 Grade Pay 5100 plus allowances in Pay Band II category) - Age limit 30 years for UR candidates ; There is no age limit for BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates

- MSc Geology OR
- MSc Applied Geology OR
- Master of Science (Technology) in Hydrogeology with Geochemistry / Chemistry as on of the subject in UG level or PG Level

First Stage :
Paper I : Core Paper Post Graduate Degree Level 200 MCQs 3 hours
Paper II : General Studies Bachelor's Degree Level 100 MCQs 2 hours (75 questions in GS degree level ; 25 questions in Aptitude and Mental Ability at 10th std level)
Second Stage :
Interview / Oral Test - 70 marks
