• Sociologist in Office of the Additional Director General of Police, Social Justice and Human Rights, Tamil Nadu General Service   - 1 Post for UR Quota - Basic Pay 56100 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Matrix Level 22 (Basic Pay 15600 Grade Pay 5400 in Pay Band III category) - Post Graduate Degree in Sociology - Age 30 years
• Economist in Office of the Additional Director General of Police, Social Justice and Human Rights, Tamil Nadu General Service   - 1 Post for UR Quota - Basic Pay 56100 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu Revised Pay Matrix Level 22 (Basic Pay 15600 Grade Pay 5400 in Pay Band III category) - Post Graudate Degree in Economics - Age 30 years

Age Limit Details for TNPSC Sociologist, Economist Posts :

Cut off date for age calculation is 01.07.2019
Minimum age limit is 18 years (should have completed) for all.
Maximum age limit is 30 years (should not have completed) for UR candidates  (except destitute widow).
No maximum age limit for BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST candidates and Destitute Widow of all communities, includes UR.
PwD : Persons with Disabilities will get additional 10 years relaxation.

TNPSC Sociologist, Economist Examination Details :

Two papers in MCQ type of examination.
Paper I : PG Degree Standard in Sociology, Economics Total 200 MCQs ; each questions will carry 1.5 marks ; Total 300 marks.

Paper II :  General Studies (Degree Std Level) 75 MCQs ; Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (10th Std Level) 25 MCQs -  Total 100 MCQs - Total 200 marks.
There is no negative marking system.
Personal Interview 70 marks.
Examination Centres : Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu
