UPSC Geo-Scientist Exam 2019 :

• Combined Geo-Scientist Exam 2019 - 102 Vacancy Posts - Salary as per Central Government 7th Pay Matrix plus allowances. - BE / BTech / BSc (Engineering) / AMIE - Age limit minimum 21 years ; maximum 30 years.
• Geologist - 79 Vacancies
• Geophysicist - 5 Vacancies
• Chemist - 15 Vacancies
• Junior Hydrologist - 3 Vacanciest

Exam Centres in Tamil Nadu :

• Chennai
• Madurai

Exam Fee details :

Rs.200 for UR male / UR EWS male / OBC male candidates.

There is no fee for all women candidates.

There is no fee for SC / ST / PwD candidates.

Preliminary Exam Pattern details :

MCQ type exam.
Negative marks applicable for wrong answer.
Paper I - General Studies - 100 Marks - 2 hours
Paper II - Geology / Hydrogeology / Geophysics / Chemistry - 300 Marks - 2 hours
