- Tutor (Music) for Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts - 2 Vacancy Posts (1 UR ; 1 SC) - Basic Pay 35400 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu Government Revised Pay Matrix Level 11 - SSLC Pass ; Diploma / Degree in Carnatic Music ; Should be able to accompany dance performance, dance dramas in institute ; Able to read and write music notations ; able to handle practical and theory classes - Age limit 30 years
Selection Method?
- Written test (Multiple choice questions 200 questions for 200 marks).
- Skill test (Carnatic Music – Vocal / Mridangam / Flute) – 100 marks
- (Candidates attending skill test should bring their own musical instruments/percussion instruments / shruti box.)
- The candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks in the written test will be eligible to be called for the skill test. (Min. qualifying marks for UR is 100/200 marks and for SC is 60/200 marks). Obtaining minimum qualifying marks in both written test and skill test is mandatory.
- On completion of skill test, a merit list will be prepared in respect of candidates who attended the skill test; 40% of the marks scored in written test (theory) and 60% of the marks scored in skill test (practical’s) will be added for each candidate and a final merit list will be drawn based on which appointment will be made
- The schedule of examinations will be intimated to the candidates through email and will also be placed in KF website. The examination center will be BASS School/Old Central Office premises in Kalakshetra Foundation, Tiruvanmiyur, Chennai – 600 041.
