State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official recruitment notification for the engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Online registrations are open for eligible Indian graduates.

💼 Recruitment Overview & Benefits
Post Name: SBI Apprentice
Duration of Training: 1 Year (Strictly contractual engagement)
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 15,000/- per month fixed. (Apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances or benefits).
Future Advantage: Successful candidates who pass the final skill evaluation trade test and obtain the Joint National Apprenticeship Certificate (issued by SBI-NSDC / BFSI-SSC) will receive Weightage / Relaxation in the recruitment of SBI Junior Associates (Clerk) as per prevailing bank policy.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.04.2026)
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree from a recognized University or Institute by 01.04.2026.
2. Age Limit
Minimum Age: 20 Years
Maximum Age: 28 Years
Note: Candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2006 and not earlier than 02.04.1998 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates as per Government of India directives.

The exam contains 100 questions worth 100 marks, with a total duration of 60 minutes. Each section is individually timed.

⚠️ Important Exam Rules:
Negative Marking: There is a penalty for wrong answers. 1/4th (0.25) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect response.
Sectional Cut-offs: There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects. Qualification is based purely on the aggregate score.
Regional Languages: Aside from General English, questions will be available in 13 regional languages (such as Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Punjabi, etc.) depending on the state you apply for.
⚠️ Crucial Category Certificate Guidelines
EWS Candidates: Must possess an "Income and Asset Certificate" issued by a competent authority based on gross annual income for the financial year 2025-26, valid for the year 2026-27. The certificate must be issued on or before the closure of online applications (08.06.2026), otherwise, you must apply under the General category.
OBC Candidates: Reservation applies only to the Non-Creamy Layer. Selected candidates must submit an OBC (NCL) certificate issued between 01.04.2026 and the date of joining. Creamy layer candidates must register as General category.
PwBD Candidates (Scribe & Compensatory Time): Horizontal reservation is provided for disabilities of 40% or more. Eligible candidates receive 20 minutes of compensatory time per hour. Candidates with temporary conditions categorized as "likely to improve" are not eligible for reservation benefits.
