Age Limit Details :

Cut off date for age calculation is 01.07.2015.
Minimum age is 18 years should be completed.

Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern :

Written Exam 100 marks to be converted to 85% i.e. 85 marks
Viva-voce / Oral Test / Interview marks 15 marks.

Selection through common written test and interview.
Examinations Questions will be in MCQ type
Each wrong answer will get negative marks 1/3.
Examination time 2 hours.
Question Paper will be 3 Parts
Part I and Part II is common to all the posts (Electrical, Mechanical and Civil).
Part III in individual subject paper to core subject area.
Part I  20 questions for 20 marks (There is no choice you have to attend all 20 questions).
Part II 35 questions for 20 marks (There is a choice for select any 20 questions. But you can answer all 35 questions. After considering 20 marks for 20 right answers, the remaining wrong answers will be awarded for negative marks).
Part III 65 questions for 60 marks (There is a choice for select any 60 questions. But you can answer all 65 questions. After considering 60 marks for 60 right answers, the remaining wrong answers will be awarded for negative marks).
Unattended questions (i.e. left unanswered) will not be awarded negative marks.

Follow-up News :

 14.01.2016 : Last date for fee payment in Indian Bank and Canara Bank branches, has been extended upto 18th January, 2016.
29.01.2016 : Many of the candidates filed a case against the recruitment process of TANGEDCO's 375 AE Postings in Madras High Court.  Hon. Justice Kalyanasundaram given interim stay-order for declaration of result. Next hearing for this case is 16.02.2016


 20.07.2016 :  Dinamalar Tamil News Paper article regarding delay of  tangedco AE exam results.

28.07.2016 :  Hon'ble High Court given permission to release the result of Tangedco 375 AE Direct Recruitment Exams results. But they stated, they can publish the result only and tangedco should not take action to issue to appoint the candidates. Very soon, TANGEDCO will publish the result.

      There is lot of questions regarding this kind of 'equivalent' qualification....

      But officially they indicated the basic qualification BE / BTech / AMIE only. They are not indicated the word like 'equivalent qualification' .

      You try to collect GO / Government Proceedings / Service Commission Order if anything available.

    Posts in Tamilnadu govt service are 99.999 % filled through back doors only.
    The person who studied hard, get degree and apply with confidence for govt dream job, but there are persons who gives corruption and enters the govt. Job making the sincere candidates as joker.

    If this exam is conducted by Anna university, then forget the deserved merit list.
    I can show you many Posts in Anna university filled by corruption.
    Tnpl all posts are filled by union leaders and it's management by getting lakhs as bribe.
    All university vice chancellors pay 10 to 20 crore. They earn it through appointments by corruption.
    Tnpsc is most corrupted.Even NET exams are corrupted. People might wonder after reading this but it is happening.
    I don't want to break the hearts of few real hard working and honest candidates. But there would be 0.99999999% chance would be there for genuine hardworkers to enter in govt service through merit. I am trying to be in 0.99999999% and I am proud of it.
