• Basic Pay 18200 plus allowances in Tamil Nadu State Government Pay Matrix Level 5 (Basic Pay 5200 Grade Pay 1900 in Pay Band I)

Educational Qualifications required for Forest Guard Vacancies :

• 12th Std Pass with  (one of the subject) 
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Botany
• Zoology

Educational Qualifications required for Forest Guard with Driving License Vacancies :

• 12th Std Pass with (one of the subject) 
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Botany
• Zoology
• Valid Driving License for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) / Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV)
• Minimum three years experience in driving Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) / Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV)
• Basic knowledge about the general mechanism of automobiles.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.

Age limit details Forest Guard and FG with DL posts exam 2018 :

Cut off date for age limit is 01.07.2018

Minimum age limit is 21 years for all communities.

Maximum age limit is as follows :

35 years for SC / SCA / ST / MBC / DNC / BC / BC Muslims and Destitute Widow of all communities candidates.

30 years for UR candidates.
Ex-service-man : 30 years (after deducting the period of service)

Forest Guard and FG with DL Post Physical Fitness Requirements :

(a) Physical Standards :

1. Height for Male 163 centimetres
2. Height for Female 150 centimetres
3. Height for Transgender 150 centimetres
4. Height for Scheduled Tribes and Jungle Tribes Male 152 centimetres
5. Height for Scheduled Tribes and Jungle Tribes Female 145 centimetres
6. Height for Scheduled Tribes and Jungle Tribes Transgender 145 centimetres
7. Chest for Male 79 centimetres in  full expiration ; expansion 5 cms
8. Chest for Female 74 centimetres in  full expiration ; expansion 5 cms
9. Chest for Transgender 74 centimetres in  full expiration ; expansion 5 cms

(b) Endurance Test :

1. Male candidates should walk 25 KM in 4 Hours
2. Female candidates should walk 16 KM in 4 Hours
3. Transgender candidates should walk 16 KM in 4 Hours
